Understanding the Seasons in Marmaris
High Summer (July & August)
This is the hot season, with daily temperatures hitting 36°C-40°C (and sometimes higher). Sea temperatures are at their warmest (26°C), making it ideal for swimming and diving. We recommend sunscreen, hats, and drinking plenty of water during these peak summer months.
Autumn (September & October)
Often considered the best time to visit Marmaris. The scorching heat drops to a pleasant 26°C-32°C, but the sea has absorbed the summer heat and is incredibly warm and calm. Hotels and beaches are less crowded, and prices drop.
Spring (April & May)
The weather is warm (21°C-26°C), with hillsides covered in fresh green flora. Perfect for hiking, archaeological visits, and local tours. Note that the sea is still refreshing (18°C-20°C) during early spring.
Winter (November to March)
Marmaris becomes quiet as most resorts close. Winter is mild but can be very wet, especially in December and January, which receive the highest rainfall of the year.
